Overview

In the Department of Molecular Pathology, we focus on the two most important health disorders, cancer and metabolic syndrome. We conduct short-term projects to clarify the cause, mechanism, methods of prevention, and progression of these disorders, and to identify novel markers for high risk and high malignant potential and molecular therapeutic targets. Through communication with mentors and fellow students, scientific knowledge, logical thinking, critical evaluation of data, and interest in unearthing unknown information will be enhanced, which may lead to a breakthrough in this field of research.
