Overview

Our focus is on the pharmacology of the cardiovascular system and innate immunity. Specifically, we are currently interested in addressing the following research themes: 1) oxidative stress and intracellular signaling pathways in cardiovascular diseases, 2) the molecular mechanisms of arterial dissection, sleep apnea, and cardiovascular disease, and 3) the mechanisms of and novel treatment targets for severe infections such as sepsis. We use different molecular biology and pharmacology techniques, in addition to in vitro and in vivo models, to address these topics. The goal of our research is to develop novel pharmacological treatments for cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases.
